This is addition to my proposal, in which I will show you draft forms for K3b lite.
First on startup user can choose what to do:
There are few buttons, Help (for help), K3b (to switch to normal
K3b), Setup (to setup recorder, and etc.), Exit (to exit).
Dynamic help is text area in which will be shown text that describes
what would certain action do. When user clicks on radio button dynamic
help will change its text.
After choosing action, user should click on Next button.
If user choose "Burn data disc" or "Burn mixed mode disc", and have a DVD recorder then he must choose medium:
Next, user should add files to compilation:
File browser and progress bar should look same as in normal K3b.
Also drag'n'drop will be possible.
There will be slight changes in CD Kreator, depending on type of compilation (audio, data, mixed...).
Next, user should choose recorder (or file), compilation name, writing speed...
And finally burning:
After burning, user can burn same or new compilation, or exit program:
